Jumana Commisso  

I am the Principal Solicitor at Commisso & Associates, with over 15 years of legal knowledge and a vast breadth of experience in many different areas of law. I am also an Accredited Specialist in Family Law. This achievement is a national recognition and I’m proud of this success.

As always I strive to provide the highest standard of service to all my clients.​On completion of a double degree with Honours, I commenced my career working for a medium sized firm in the litigation division. I have also worked in a general firm, where I gained a vast breadth of experience in many different areas of law as expected in a general law firm. I then worked in a national law firm where I was a senior lawyer in the suburban offices. Prior to opening Commisso & Associates I worked in the CBD in a boutique law firm for a number of years, dealing with high net worth clients, predominately in family and estate work. My commercial law background complements my extensive family law experience in all aspects of family law including large and complex property matters that incorporate family businesses, multiple assets and superannuation splitting.

I have extensive advocacy experience and regularly appear in the Family Court of Australia in Sydney and Parramatta, the Supreme Court, Local and District Courts of NSW.

My commercial law background allows me to quickly identify both the issues at hand and the best possible solution for my clients, many of whom are professionals, business owners and mums and dads. Whether it is a simple conveyancing transaction, advising on business matters or undertaking any variety of complicated issues I always have a determined and committed attitude to achieve the best result in the most efficient way possible. I help my clients navigate the complexities of relationship break ups by giving them effective and direct advice with empathy and care.
